And it will not change, companies only care about their stockholders. They do not care about their employees and it shows daily, companies can pay out big lawsuits or pay the lawyers to get them cleared and they can hide that spending from the investors in their funny finances presented to the shareholders. Welcome to the new age.

Victim-blaming about the Carla Aiello and Lee Luellen bike fatality cases is extremely distasteful. Shame on you.

Darnell, first heard this reverse annexation story about 40 years ago. A remarkable turn of events and reflection of the intramural petty politics that had long-lasting results. Now a focus on Austin growing into its future.

There is a thing done in Judiasim called davening. Jewish men pray at the western wall for extended periods of time and begin to sway and move as in a dance. What is occurring is known as them making love to a female spirit they say eminates from the area where the Holy of Holies used to be. Penticostals have come to know this as the shekina glory. Jesus said to be watchful for in those days even the elect would be decieved. There is a paganism moving into Christendom. We're entering into dangerous territory.

So this is why Austin and it's residents have been treated like a foster child by the City of Chicago since then. This is almost the equivalent of being put up for adoption. Now I understand why Cicero has mostly shown no interest in our fate and why Oak Park has sort of lived the life of a spoiled only child. Micheal, great story! It is good to know more of our history and the legacy we stand on as we continue to embrace our forced urbanism and reshape our community into a place all its own distinctive from all that have under-appreciated it.

Regarding your statement: "Singing is a God-given talent that people use in church to offer their talent to God." I don't have one iota of singing talent. My singing is my offering of praise to God - although my pew neighbor may be insulted by my untunefulness, I'm am fairly sure God is not.

I have come up under a few churches since childhood. Some super strict and others not so much. I have seen the Spirit fall during a praise dance. Unfortunately I have also seen other dances incorporated into praise dance that are definitely not of God. To me the dance is not the problem because I've also witnessed it in some of the songs currently sung in some churches. The whole "come as you are" movement has reduced church to a place that is no longer respected as it should be. There was a time when people showed respect for the church. Now it's a free for all. Yes the Bible says come as you are. But it doesn't say stay as you are, do what you want, act like you want or stay like you want. For example, People come to church dressed like they are going to a back yard BBQ. Now I'm not condemning those who don't have anything else nor am I saying you have to have a full blown gown or suit. What I am saying is that people put more effort into going to the...
